2024-11-21
Members of our National and Civic Education Team and the Academic and General Knowledge Team visited the recently-renovated Hong Kong Museum of War of Resistance and Coastal Defence. They explored the history of Hong Kong during World War II and its significance in the War of Resistance up close, discovered the stories surrounding the battles in Hong Kong. From preserved naval guns to wartime medals, each artifact tells its own unique story of courage and resilience in the face of hardship. The highlights of the visit include the original WWII weaponry and torpedo replicas and the Redoubt and Caponier Tour. Walking through the historic buildings situated along the former Lyemun Fort brought Hong Kong’s WWII past to life for our Lasallians.
