On the 7th of April, we commemorate our founder, St John Baptist de La Salle, who devoted his life to the education and welfare of young individuals. We continue to uphold his teachings and preserve his principles, ensuring that his legacy endures. St. John Baptist de La Salle, born in 1651 in Reims, France, was a man of deep faith and a visionary leader. He possessed a fervent passion for education and firmly believed that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and develop. He established the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, also known as the De La Salle Brothers, which has grown into one of the world’s largest and most esteemed educational institutions. St. John Baptist de La Salle’s life was characterised by a resolute dedication to serving others, particularly those who were less fortunate. He firmly believed that education held the key to unlocking potential, and through his tireless efforts, he positively transformed the lives of countless young people.
