Ten students with outstanding performance and achievements from the Territory-wide Inter-school National Security Knowledge Challenge 2024/25 went to a 7-day National Security Education Study Tour. The students departed on December 18 to Beijing, visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China and interacted with teachers and students from the Branch of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China. They also attended the flag-raising ceremony on the viewing stage of Tiananmen Square, National Museum of China, the National Archives of Publications and Culture, the China Academy of Space Technology, the China Science and Technology Museum, the China National Arts and Crafts Museum. The tour left Beijing for Shanghai on high speed rail on December 22, visited the Shanghai National Security Education Center, the Sihang Warehouse Memorial of War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and concluded at the Yu Garden.
It was an eye-opening tour for the students to see the world from the perspective of our country, to raise awareness of the safeguarding of national security in different aspects, and to reflect on how they can contribute to the society and the country. This tour was a great success with the tremendous effort of the Chief Executive’s Office, the Department of Justice, the Security Bureau, the Education Bureau, and the coordination from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government.
