In September, nine members of our School Orchestra joined students from Good Hope School on an exchange to Sophianum, Netherlands. During this enriching experience, our students collaborated with peers from the Netherlands, Germany, and Thailand to perform as one orchestra in an international concert. Our talented musicians worked diligently under the guidance of various conductors, exchanging musical ideas and techniques with fellow musicians from around the globe. After days of intensive rehearsals, their hard work culminated in a successful concert. In addition to performing as part of the orchestra, our students had the opportunity to showcase a piece of their own as an ensemble.
Beyond the rewarding musical experience, students enjoyed exploring nearby cities such as Valkenburg and Maastricht. They participated in activities like tobogganing and laser games, all while immersing themselves in Dutch culture. This exchange not only fostered musical growth but also created lasting memories and friendships across borders.
