Exciting News from Kumamoto, Japan! Our talented dance team embarked on a thrilling dance tour in early August 2024, showcasing their skills at the 11th KIND International Exchange Kids Dance Event in Kumamoto. We are delighted to announce that our boys’ team achieved an impressive third place in the competition, marking a significant milestone in their dance journey! Over 30 competitive teams participated in this prestigious international dance competition, providing a fantastic opportunity to appreciate and learn from diverse dances from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan!

In addition to the dance competition, the team was invited to join Otemoyan Soodori (Otemoyan Dance) on the main streets of Kumamoto city center during Hinokuni Matsuri (Fire Festival). They also visited Kumamoto Kokufu High School, where they had a school tour and a dance workshop conducted by the Cheer Dance Team of the school. The tour also encompassed various Japanese cultural experiences and activities. The team attended two local dance classes to learn a wide variety of dance skills such as Waacking and Soul Dance. Furthermore, they visited an orchard for fruit picking and enjoyed a firework display in Kurume, some of the popular activities in Japan.

We are proud of our boys’ team for securing third place and embracing this enriching experience!
