We are delighted to announce the outstanding performance of the STEAM team in the Hong Kong Blockchain Olympiad 2023. Four members of the team, namely Cheung Chun Lok (5G), Shang Chengze (5G), Lam Lap Yu (4G), and He Jeremy Guan-Tian (5G), have demonstrated incredible competency in formulating innovative solutions with Blockchain technology in their project, “BlockBuster: A Blockchain-Based Public Self-Driving Car Rental Service.” They have captured the Bronze award as the 2nd runner-up team in the final round.

Another student from the STEAM team, Lu Runbo (5G), has also performed well in the competition and was part of one of the teams among the top 10 best performing teams.

The competition invited students to propose solutions to real-world problems using blockchain technology. The secondary track consisted of three submission stages and multiple workshops spanning from July to September, where students had to formulate and present their Blockchain solutions in various formats, including a written proposal, a video, and a poster board.

The best performing teams have been invited to participate in the GBA-IBCOL Finals, as well as the International Blockchain Olympiad, held later this year. We are proud to announce that both teams will be advancing into the GBA-IBCOL Finals.

Congratulations to the students for their incredible achievement, and we wish them good luck in the next stages of the competition.
