We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible accomplishment of our inaugural Eye Care Service Learning Programme. Clear vision is crucial for a child’s development and learning, and proactive eye screenings allow for timely treatment to prevent vision issues from hindering a child’s growth. To promote eye care among children, we started the Eye Care Initiative this year where we became the very first secondary school in Hong Kong to offer outbound eye screening services for local kindergartens. With the support from Dr. Jason Yam Cheuk Sing (Class of 1998), medical experts and community partners, we have so far provided eye screenings for over 100 kids in Hong Kong. The heart-warming interactions with the kindergarteners fill our hearts with love, and we are eager to continue to spread Lasallian care and love to our community.
