On 24 June, the Catholic teachers at our school gathered for a spiritually enriching retreat at the Lasallian Youth Centre in Sheung Shui. This retreat provided us with an invaluable opportunity to reflect on our calling as educators and to deepen the foundation of our faith within the Catholic tradition and Lasallian education.

Our retreat was led by Brother Dennis Magbanua, who emphasised the significance of our roles as Lasallian teachers. He reminded us that we are all called to help our students cultivate a spirit of gratitude, regardless of whether their experiences are positive or negative. God has a plan to reveal the precious gifts He has for us.

During the retreat, we also had the chance to make aromatic stones, blending essential oils to match our personal tastes, moods, and emotional needs, which helped elevate the atmosphere.

We concluded the retreat with a Mass celebrated by Rev. Albertus Suryadi. With hearts overflowing with thankfulness and devotion, we gathered as a community of teachers to worship and receive the Eucharist, and draw strength and inspiration from our shared vocation of nurturing the spiritual growth of our students.
