Today, we gathered for a deeply heartfelt and inspiring Ash Wednesday Mass. Reverend Father Bernardo Cervellera led us in prayer and reflection, stressing the importance of embracing our responsibilities and the extraordinary example set by our loving God.

As we begin the holy season of Lent, let us reflect on the profound significance of this time in our spiritual lives. Today’s scripture readings and the Gospel urged us to recognise our responsibilities, strengthened by the grace of God. During this season, we are called to engage more deeply in practices of prayer, almsgiving (both in terms of money and time), and fasting — efforts that not only discipline us but also open our hearts to the needs of others.

Together, let us approach these challenges directly, fortified by the assurance that God, the most mighty and valiant, is guiding every step we take.
